This Privacy Policy explains how yappix.net and related services (the “Site”) collect, use, disclose, and protect personal data.

Scope

This Policy applies to visitors and users of the Site and to people who contact us via the Site or related channels.

Definitions

  • Personal data means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.

  • Processing means any operation performed on personal data.

  • Controller determines purposes and means of processing.

  • Processor processes data on behalf of the controller.

Data we collect

  1. Data you provide
    Name, email, phone number, account details (if registration is available), messages sent to support, form submissions, preferences.

  2. Data collected automatically
    IP address, device and session identifiers, browser and OS details, language, dates and times of visits, referrer, pages viewed, events (clicks, scrolls), log files, approximate location inferred from IP.

  3. Data from third parties
    Payment providers (payment status, masked payment details, antifraud results), analytics and marketing platforms (aggregated metrics), social sign-in/SSO data if you choose to connect it.

We do not intentionally collect special categories of personal data.

Purposes and legal bases

  • Provide and operate the Site including account creation and maintenance, content delivery, interface personalization.

Where personal data is transferred across borders, we use appropriate safeguards.

  • For EEA and UK transfers, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses and supplementary measures as needed.

  • For other regions, we apply mechanisms provided under the relevant local law. Details available on request.

Data retention

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes collected or as required by law. Typical periods:

  • Account data while the account is active and for up to 12 months after deletion for dispute resolution and backups.

  • Security logs for 90–180 days.

  • Accounting records for 5–10 years as required by law.
    After retention periods, data is deleted or anonymized.

Security

We use technical and organizational measures appropriate to the risk, including TLS encryption in transit, access controls, auditing, backups, and monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • access your data and obtain a copy;

  • rectify inaccurate data;

  • delete data in circumstances defined by law;

  • restrict processing;

  • data portability;

  • object to processing based on legitimate interests and to direct marketing;

  • withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;

  • lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

CPRA notice for California residents

We do not sell personal information as defined by CPRA. We may engage in “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising only with your consent where applicable. Categories collected may include identifiers, internet activity, approximate geolocation, and inferences from activity. Your CPRA rights include the right to know, delete, correct, opt out of sale/sharing, and non-discrimination. Submit requests to help@yappix.net. Children

The Site is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child provided data, contact us to delete it.
